IEP PRO: Crafting Effective Standards-Based IEP Goals and Objectives
This professional development session is dedicated to enhancing educators' skills in writing standards-based goals and objectives for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Participants will learn how to assess the impact of disabilities on individual students, utilize data to inform goal-setting, and create cohesive and effective IEPs. Cognitive Processing PRO: Leveraging the “G’s” to Support Instruction for Students with Disabilities
This professional development session is designed to deepen educators' understanding of General Cognitive Abilities (G's) and how this knowledge can be utilized to support and enhance instruction for students with disabilities. Participants will explore the various components of cognitive abilities, learn how these abilities impact learning, and develop strategies to tailor instruction that meets the diverse cognitive needs of their students. The session will include practical activities and case studies to illustrate how understanding cognitive strengths and weaknesses can improve educational outcomes.
AI PRO: Using AI to Support Special Education
This session will explore how to use AI as a tool to support diverse learners and special educators. Participants will gain understanding of AI literacy, AI in the law, discover helpful AI tools, and using tools to support digital pedagogy.
PRO Support: Modeling and Mentoring for Special Educators
Our specialized coaching and mentoring services are designed to support new and struggling special educators in mastering the critical skills needed to develop high-quality Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and conduct effective IEP team meetings. Through personalized guidance, practical resources, and expert advice, educators will gain the confidence and competence required to excel in their roles, ensuring better outcomes for students with disabilities. This mentoring can include modeling and mentorship during an ARD meetings and can be daily or hourly services.
PRO Impact: Writing Effective Impact and Need Statements
This session is designed to help participants understand how a student’s disability impacts their education and identify the needs that arise from it. Participants will also learn how to effectively document this information in the Full and Individual Evaluation (FIE) and IEP, ensuring that Impact and Need statements drive the PLAAFP and inform the goals outlined in the IEP
